So... today my dad walked in almost right after I got home and we welcomed him home without a second thought. But, when my brother asked why he was home so early, I jokingly said "Cause he lost his job."

Let's just say I hit the nail on the head.

My dad was layed off today from a job he had for over fifteen years. Not only this, but his boss was told exactly who to fire, my dad being one of those.

My mom is retired and needs tons of medication to make her safe to live in a community, and our insurance goes out at the end of the month, so we need to find a way to get benefits. She's also retired, and doesn't make that much money.

It makes me sad, because just a month ago, my dad was telling me not to worry about the economical crisis because he made more than enough money to support us.

But now that's gone.

Hopefully he can find a new job, but I have heard that people who have worked in one specific job for a long period of time have more difficulty finding a new one than someone who has had 20 short job periods.

I don't know how whats going to happen, but I do know that somehow everything will be okay. It always is.
